According to the statistics of the Vietnam Advertising Association (VAA), in our country there are currently more than 50 foreign advertising companies, about 3,000 Vietnamese advertising companies, thousands of companies specializing in Graphic Design. Not only the advertising companies, the media companies, the publishing units, the news agencies, the press agencies, ... but also many large companies and corporations have the need to recruit personnel in the field of design.

 

From the actual needs of society, the students of Graphic Design graduates can easily find suitable jobs with a starting salary quite high compared to the average. The average starting salary of students in the Department of Graphic Design ranges from VND 8-10 million / month and for those with one to two years of experience is VND 12-15 million / month.

 

In other cases, if you are someone who does not want to be confined to the workplace, students studying Graphic Design may choose to freelance. This option is becoming more and more popular and is loved by many young people.   • Graphic design training program of FPT University is based on digital technology.


  •  In the first year, students have 1 semester to study English abroad.


  • Students have 1-2 semesters of specialized knowledge and practice at Limkokwing University, Malaysia or Hongik University, Korea.


  • 3rd-year students are allowed to work for 4 - 8 months in local, foreign and national creative arts, media, and advertising units during the semester On the Job Training.


  • Students also cultivate soft skills, communication skills, life skills, negotiation, time management, financial management ... through personal development activities.

  • Students will learn about: Historical foundation of photography, Classification of photography, Greatest photographers, Structure of camera, Camera operation, Foundation composition and visual language of photography, Handling post-production, Aesthetic in photography.
  • This course will explore the process of script development and writing, from idea to script. It will show how to generate ideas, write a logline and plot synopsis, flesh out characters, structure the story, create a compelling narrative, and get it all down in professional script format.
  •  Students use Japanese at a basic level: reading, writing, communicating in the workplace.

  • Students will work on specific character development skills necessary to work in the animation industry. Students will also be exposed to animating and cleaning up ‘on model’ from existing and created model sheets.
  • This course addresses the principles of usable design such as listening to users, understanding the medium and the ability to bridge the two with a well designed user interface. Objectively evaluate the usability of products, design from user requirements, and test designs to verify successes or uncover flaws.
  • Students will learn how to create new fonts as materials for creative products.
  • This course will explore existing modern typographical ideas and techniques and attempt to expand on students’ typographical range. Students will investigate the communication of content and the emotional qualities of text.
  • This course teaches animation, illustration, drawing, and design skills to create visuals that convey ideas about how they envision the look of the piece.

  • This course provides the theory and practice of sound design and its application to various media. This emphasizes on understanding the theory of sound, gaining knowledge in the use sound recording and editing equipment, and using professional techniques for capturing, editing and producing quality audio.

  • Students will approach different definitions and aesthetic perspectives to contribute to the education of aesthetic development, perception and creativity.
  • Students are also taught basic skills to prevent from infringement of other person's intellectual property rights when they produce their graphic works. How to commercialize intellectual property right is the incorporated part of the subject as well.
  • Preparation for entry into the profession of visual communication. Topics include portfolio preparation, written communication, interview and job search skills. Each student organizes a webbased portfolio or a traditional print portfolio presentation along.
